Hey guys,
We make interesting little sound demos and also reviews of effect pedals and related stuff
We focus on DIY pedals and also on pedals we like. To show the wide range of the pedals, various Instruments are used as well as sax, guitar, rhodes, bass and also drums.
You got any ideas for us? You know of some obscure DIY kit you'd like to hear?
Leave us a message or a comment and we will try our best.
We are happy if subscribe to our channel,
Kind regards,
Marcus from Pedal Syndicate

Ayyy! Gnarly. Nice
Is that thing really that saturated ?
Sheet of sheet
🤙
Nothing to do with the original
Thanks for your pedal marcus!! It is in good hands now :-)
Sounds like the TS adds significant noise to the signal. Just my impression? Thats the main hastle for me when doing DIY builds. It adds noise etc. i guess from amateur soldering and wiring management.
Frank Zappa was such a fan of the Green Ringer he had it installed into one of his SG’s!
Horrible
How much current draws? 300 mA seems too much for a pedal like this
Geezus what a mess.
🤮
i'm looking to boost my bass and treble, would this be better than a 6 or 10 band EQ pedal
if you want square wave pulsing put the wire on R25. For Smoother pulsing (sine wave) use R24
I have same pedal but adapter sucks
A number of sources say this is true bypass, and you say it is not. Trying to figure out what the truth actually is.
is it the 90 or the 45?
is it a resister or transistor? i see BC547B but it says transistor? thanks
Its a transistor that you use. But a resistor that you solder to. Hope that helps...

Very nice demo 👍🏼though those 5 particular frequencies are probably not optimal for that guitar, or, just, guitar in general. I just ordered two of those kits to make a 10-band EQ, and I think I'll use pots with sliders and a center detent. The midrange should be more finely spliced than 300 / 1,100 / 3,000 hz. . Starting a little deeper than the 100hz here, I multiplied 80hz (and then each subsequent product) by one and two-thirds (1.67) and rounded to the nearest ten, giving me a pretty good spread of 10 frequencies that cover the midrange pretty well: 80hz 130 220 370 620 1,030 1,710 2,860 4,760 7,940 But I don't love the low-end spacing. . Let's try starting at 60hz and using a 1.75 factor works pretty well, too: 60 105 180 320 560 980 1,720 3,020 5,280 9,240 This is better, but too widely spaced, and 60hz is probably too far. . Let's try 72hz and x1.65: 72 _120_ 200 _320_ 530 _880_ 1,450 _2,400_ 3,960 _6,530hz_ . I think I prefer this final spread, is the 72/120/200/320 numbers are really good for tuning the low end of your sound, the midrange is pretty nicely spaced, and it doesn't go too high into the treble. . For a 5-band, see just the italicized frequencies. . Now, to calculate the resistors and capacitors needed for those frequencies...and to choose a tighter-than-stock Q. . Anyway, just some thoughts I thought I'd leave here for whomever :)
Yeah and I agree, these choosen stock frequencies do not make too much sense...
Did you try fitting 2 boards into one pedal? Would it fit in a 1590b?
I know its an old thread but are you able to post the final values of Capacitors / resistors you used?
Guitar?
I think this pedal should be tested on a clean amp, which here is not the case. That's why we don't hear any difference between settings. Worst way to test this type of fuzz
Yes and no, you are right about the amp... its driven a bit already. But imho, that thing just has gain for ages as other comments agree on.
not sure what people want in a fuzz but I have one on order because this is up my alley - love that total fuzz breakup, and I have prolly some 15 or so fuzz pedals - they each have their own personality
Very refreshing. Usually a pedal demo inspires me to want the pedal at least in some way. This is the exception to that rule. Thank you Pedal Syndicate for an honest, money saving review.
Why is this available to see and hear?
I own the old version of the pcb. Can you confirm that the resistor is the R25, between IC1b left 5leg and right 7leg?
Hey, its the one going to the 555 timer IC for sure. If you are unsure just give it a try - there is no backvoltage from the transistor, just make sure not to shorten the 555 accidently :)
I have this exact pedal, built it myself. It's great, just as gnarly and twisted as it sounds in the clip.
Horrível
Wo ist der Einbau des OSC Schalters beschrieben? Platine hat Platz dafür, aber ich finde keine Info, was man für einen Schalter brauch. Ein einfacher SPDT?
Awesome demo! The reverb sound kind of gainy. I wonder if that works nicely with distorted sounds.
Hi, can I use a BC546B instead? What about the other members of thr family, BC548B and BC549B? I understand they're all pretty similar and should be equivalent for this usage?
I guess yes, their exact values wont make a huge diffrence in this use case - did it work out for.you?
Too bad you only played the same chord over and over, would've loved to hear single notes, arpeggios, low and high register and a couple of famous riffs.
D nut slot too low haha
Hi there, you have modded the pedal adding a switch between the pots, I see it is connected to the R15, what stands for and how did you do that? please I am about to buy the same kit and modding with this pulsing rainbow led custom :)
Thats a famous mod to phasers that changes the feedback a little. The effect is very slightly diftent but sometimes thats what it takes :)
Could you please help me possibly with a question about this pedal,I’ve recently bought two of these but have only built one yet.The only way it seems to work is when all of the transistors are in the opposite way around as how they’re supposed to be and how they’re shown here.Could this be because I was given different transistors where the EBC are in the opposite places and got lucky by switching them around ? Also two of the mkt capacitors are of a different value to what they are in your pedal here C1 and C9 should be (10nJ100) but I was given two (10nJ400) capacitors,Could this be an issue ?
Both could be an issue and your transistors might be "turned" around. Id suggest getting the right parts as they are just a few cents?

I've built a few of Jed's pedals. Not been disappointed at all. Must admit though the sound on this was pretty harsh, lacking any mids or bass for that matter. I hope the pedal sounds better in person I was considering adding it to the collection.
I agree
wow..a DIY-pedal demo, where the guitar player CAN ACTUALLY PLAY!
สั่งชื้อมาแต่ได้ตัวเล็กมาลาชาด้า
I think this one sounds better then the shaky Jimi pedal but I might be wrong.
This sounds great! Did you you do the trimpot adjustment mod? I use the same phaser and yours sounds different. It may just be a difference in guitar and amp brands though.
Hey, no its standard :)
Awesome video, I've been wanting to do this on my phaser to make it easier to get my delay in time. Thanks!!
well at least it looks cool
Sounds crap when chugging away at chords. Good for riffs or solos though
Really nice review. You really got to make these pitch/ringer tones shime. This ringer sounds amazing! I was wondering if I could build it with a simple soldering iron, which isn't really meant for smaller electronic parts. I don't have much equipment to practice soldering at home. Also, is it possible to make the build and just bypass the knob, since I understand doesn't do anything at all?
Great and Big Sound \m/ I will buy the kit and build it as an amplug, like those from VOX :)
Sounds like a guitar amp with a broken speaker, nice.
funky frusciante vibes :}
Do you think it might work on a bass guitar too?
Can you tell me how to make my phaser go faster? It's made by Stax.
